DON'T FALL BACKWARDS

Jeremiah 7:24:

But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I write this much needed article at a very important time in Church History. We must press forward and NOT go backwards!

I have attended many pentecostal churches. I was raised Holiness Pentecostal. I am very familiar with the denominational doctrines.

I understand more than anyone the reasons that people believe they can and should be "slain" in the Lord. I know and i understand. I have

been there. But as the children of GOD, we must be always willing and wanting to mature and grow in the Word and in wisdom and understanding of

The LORD GOD and His Will.

So with all of this foresaid, Let's take a look in GODS Own Words:

1 Samuel 4:18
And it came to pass, when he made mention of the ark of God, that he fell from off the seat backward by the side of the gate, and his neck brake, and he died: for he was an old man, and heavy. And he had judged Israel forty years.

Psalm 40:14
Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.

Psalm 70:2
Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.

Isaiah 1:4
Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.

Isaiah 28:13
But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

Isaiah 44:25
That frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish;

Jeremiah 7:24
But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.

Jeremiah 15:6
Thou hast forsaken me, saith the LORD, thou art gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, and destroy thee; I am weary with repenting.

Lamentations 1:8
Jerusalem hath grievously sinned; therefore she is removed: all that honoured her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: yea, she sigheth, and turneth backward.
John 18:6
As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

Every time in the Bible that someone went backward, it was because they were NOT in the Will of GOD!

Notice people who were in the Will of GOD bowed their head to the ground face down forward:

Genesis 17:3
And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,

Do you disagree? We encourage you to take your time in prayer & fasting as you continue to examine this subject. Many times, it takes days-weeks, even years to undo man's doctrines or traditional thinking. It's a process. Many times, just reading websites is NOT enough. We must be willing to take the time to talk to our LORD & Savior Jesus Christ in MUCH prayer & fasting, and continual repentance and continued growth in spiritual maturity. We should pray that HE remove all deception from us & always be willing to change as HE continues to teach us. If we have NOT changed anything that we believe in 12 months, we are NOT growing enough in His Truth. We must continue to grow every year until we reach FULL maturity to the full stature of Jesus Christ. Eph.4:11-16. May JE-sus continue to bless you in all of your seeking for His Truth.
